Giving FAQ

Can I make a cash gift to the Museum without becoming a member?
Yes. You may donate at any time without joining the Museum, but membership does include a t-shit and a cool window sticker.

Is my cash gift, membership or donated item tax-deductible?
Yes. We are supported by charitable contributions and all gifts are tax-deductible.

How will my contribution to the Museum be recognized?
We keep and publish a list of donors. Higher level donors also receive special recognitions which can be made in the name of someone special to you.

Do you accept corporate sponsorship of events, programs, exhibits or special projects at the Museum?
Yes. Contact the each project manager for additional information or to discuss options. The projects are listed on our website. Each has a explanation of the project and the volunteer that is coordinating that effort.

What corporate support do you currently have?
Our Corporate Membership Program is new and growing as of 2011. It is is designed to suit a range of organizations, from small companies to large corporations.

How is your budget generally funded?
The McKenzie River Drift Boat Museum is a Federal 501(c)3 non-profit. We are funded by countless volunteer hours, individual and corporate memberships, grants, and the generous support of our community.

Does the Museum have an endowment?
No. We are currently seeking businesses or organizations interested in establishing an endowment for MRBDM. As we begin our short term needs will outweigh our long term security; however, as we grow it is our desire to stabilize income with an endowment to underwrite our operational expenses. If you have interest in participating in an endowment for the McKenzie River Drift Boat Museum please contact one of your board of directors.
